When: Marloo Design was launched in Sydney, Australia in 2018 by Founder and Creative Director - Gavin Rea.

Who: Gavin Rea was an Internationally recognised Fashion and Celebrity Photographer, who lived and worked in New York City for over 10 years. He had always had an interest in great design and while on photo shoots abroad in Paris, London, New York and California, he visited many of the most celebrated interior decor stores in the World. Through his fashion industry contacts, Gavin began networking with leading Interior Designers and stylists, often assisting them on large jobs during the day and then at night studying Interior Design. Gavin eventually took on smaller jobs of his own and progressively built up a client base in NYC, Los Angeles and Palm Springs.

Renowned for his vibrant and eclectic designs, Gavin is seen as a trailblazer in the world of interior design and is celebrated for his avant-garde approach. With a penchant for bold hues and playful designs, he has become a go-to designer for those seeking spaces that are both lively and sophisticated.

Now back in Australia, Gavin owns and runs his boutique Interior Design company, Marloo Design where he both designs bespoke products and also creatively leads commissions and consultations to select private and commercial clients.

Achievements: Marloo Design have been fortunate enough to work with some exceptional clients on projects that span from residential refurbishments and new-builds to key commercial and hospitality fit-outs. Contemporary design has to encompass several key issues: financial, social and importantly, environmental points of view, all of which need to be addressed by client and designer, together.
